A Shell of a Guy

If you read this blog regularly or somewhat regularly you may recall a painting I made last summer of two cicadas. I also drew a Mable cartoon featuring a 13-year cicada and a 13-year genius. Needless to say, I've covered some creative ground with my cicada interest. And in case you don't recognize this guy, he's the crunchy brown shell the cicadas leave behind on trees and decks and the ground when they emerge from the earth and molt, or hatch.
